The bathrooms feature a bathtub with a shower and premium bathroom amenities. Accessible Balcony Cabins, adapted for those with disabilities, are fully accessible. They include a wider door and step-free access to the bathroom and the balcony. The main cabin area includes a larger space for wheelchairs, lower hanging rails and lower storage. One of the dining rooms will also be open every day forbreakfast and lunch on sea days only.

All suites are split into a living space and bedroom space divided by a curtain. Again, this may not be appealing to adults sharing who prefer a separate room. Royal Princess does not feature any Oceanview cabins which are unusual for a ship of this size.
Crooner’s Lounge & Bar
Next to the pool was the fountain area, which was where additional loungers were positioned when the sun was out. But on the couple times we searched, two loungers together were scarce to find by mid-morning (loungers one deck up, overlooking the pool, were easier to come by). There were two whirlpools for this area, which also seemed a bit constrained at peak hours. We ordered lunch shortly after noon one day and were asked to allow 20 to 30 minutes for delivery—the knock on the door came just 16 minutes later.

The International Café counter service location within the PIazza. It's open 24-hours a day and is great for a late evening snack, quick breakfast or a light lunch. The Sanctuary costs $20 for a half-day, $40 for a full day or $30 per day if you buy a pass for the length of the cruise. There is also a service charge of $3 per person, per food delivery.

One downside of the shower is the dreaded sticky shower curtain. The highlight of the Royal Princess cabins is The Princess Luxury Bed. The bed, designed by sleep expert Dr Michael Breus, are incredibly comfortable with premium sheets and bedding. The cabins on Royal Princess are smaller compared to older Princess Ships. Despite the smaller size, they are well designed and comfortable. At the drinks stations, you will find complimentary ice, water, lemonade, iced tea, filter coffee and tea.
At the back of the fitness centre is a private aerobics studio that offers fitness classes for an extra charge. On the lido deck, the gigantic screen shows concerts and movies during the day. There is also live music and activities on the lido deck during the day.

We started with the shrimp and pancetta bisque, which neither heavy nor rich, and followed with the goat cheese and heirloom tomato salad with spinach and yellow beets. We’re not sure about the heirloom tomatoes (they seemed pretty run-of-the-mill to us and almost invisible) but the overall dish was pleasing. In our case this was Donnafugata’s anthilia—a full-bodied, summery white wine from Sicily—and Spellbound’s petite sirah, a balanced choice from California. Neither wine was remotely top-shelf but glasses were poured as needed. Combined with the plussed-up menu and dedicated service, the dinner was the best we had aboard Royal Princess, and a fair value, too.
